For one, a whole semester of Uni.
Currently studying Bachelor of Engineering, I don't really think that it's my forte, I seem to find it quite dull and sleep through a lot of lectures, but whether thats due to the 8am lectures, 21 contact hours and 1 hour minimum travel time or the lack of interesting-ness due to lectures that can't speak real English, I really couldn't decide... I'll most likely change into a Science major next year, but I might do Science/Engineering, that might be more profitable.
It's currently exam period, I've had three exams in the past four days, and another one next week. May have failed a couple of subjects *pensive look*
Which brings me to something else...I have a girlfriend now! Her name is Zoe, she's equally as crazy as me and I guess, most importantly, she loves chainmaille, oh, and me of course
Which brings me to another thing: I got, and killed, a car. It's a pity, since she was a pretty good car, as far as old bombs can go, she was a white auto 1988 Toyota Corolla Seca, the benefit is that I no longer have to pay for petrol, which is good considering work is screwing me around, not giving me any shifts, therefore not being able to afford petrol...
Anyway, I was driving home from an afterparty, it was 5am-ish, I'd been up on minimal sleep for the past 2 weeks, and hadn't slept in 24 hours. Fell asleep...drifted into the side barrier on the freeway, and spun out across the road. I'm told that I'm very lucky that I hit where I did, or I could have been very, very injured. Luckily, I walked away without a scratch, but the car had chassis damage and a broken axle. Written off, the first of what will most likely, though unfortunately, be many.
The reason I'd been up so late for so long was because for the preceding 2 weeks I had been doing lighting (I was the assistant lighting designer/operator) for Anthony Burgess' "A Clockwork Orange - a play with music" performed by the Monash Uni Student Theatre. The show was a great success, but unfortunately the late nights and 8am lectures played havoc with my sleeping, and it was the Closing Night afterparty that I was driving from.
Fleur, one of the awesome chicks from MUST is directing "In His Own Write - The Lennon Play", and she has nabbed me to be the lighting operator for that show. It should be lots of fun, its running sometime next semester.
Anyway, that's the main points of my life in the last four months...hard to think that its only been 4 months with all thats been going on, but it's been fun for the majority, despite the huge hectic-ness of it.
