A front on photo of the trebuchet that i'm making, made out of 12*12mm and 12*20mm pine lengths, and held together with some cheapo galvied nuts and bolts.
does anyone else not have a clue what category their dev's should go into?

well, all of it so far was pretty simple, its all pre-made lengths of wood bought at bunnings, cut down to a size i thought up, and then drilled and screwed together...
the real challenge is yet to come, with some chiseling and hammering...
i specially taught myself how to make historic fishnet, to use as the sling, although now i think i'll just use a pouch made from leather

yeah, kinda easier, except at least at school you have a drill press, so you can drill straight holes....
try making something where the holes have to be straight down or it just wont work at all
the fishing net making is kinda fun, but at the same time kinda a pain in the ass

we didnt use drills...we used hammers. ^^; i nearly nailed my hand to the desk...i fail at woodwork.

make one yourself! the one i have has so far cost me i think $30-$40 in the way of material, and its definitely making me think more about construction and materials.
final cost may be closer to $50-$60, but thats still cheap for a damn good toy
