Devious Journal Entry

got me a new drill arbor today D D
only problem is that its got a 1/2" shank and my drill can only take 3/8" or less :( oh well, time to get a better drill i guess, the one i have only cost me $30 anyway, oh, and i gotta get some slitting saw blades...
but lookout for some new chainmaille pieces coming soon, everythings gonna be much quicker with a motorised saw!

i also got a new car last week, its a secondhand '88 laser
i already managed to flatten the battery O_o
it cost me $1000, but i had to get new tyres, which was $300, and i'm gonna have to get some new driveshafts and a new windscreen...
there goes another $700
and then i have to get it roadworthied and registered, and theres another $500
something i thought would cost me $1500 all up has gone way over budget, might get a credit card to pay for it all, and slowly pay it back
the aussie govt is hopefully gonna give me $900, just as a stooopid 'rescue package', which really wont do crap except pay off peoples mortgages and credit card bills, but if its free for me, i'll gladly take it! but thats not gonna start going out until next month sometime at the earliest

ciao for now

And by the way Zac, your not fooling anyone by saying that the 'chainmail bikini' favourites were simply for the garment and not the models ;P

Thanks for the watch, good sir. Maille making, you say... interesting. I'm a professional medievalist in one of my other lives. I like your taste in music, for the most part. I can probably think of 50 or so bands you would probably enjoy. If you like The Smiths, try Echo and the Bunnymen, The Teardrop Explodes, Orchestral Manouevres in tyhe Dark. If you like Zappa try Captain Beefheart, Porcupine Tree, Pineapple Thief, Ulver, Gazpacho (the Norwegian band, not the Argentinian one), Mum, Amiina, Sigur Ros, Ayreon, Laibach and more.... one of my other sidelines is somewhat of a musicologist.

i know you, mr. ryan, or should i say gwynfor, for i attend the good college of st. monica.
i hope to see you sometime during o-week, for a demonstration!
i must say, i was surprised but impressed to find out that you were a photographer as well!
as for the music, i'm already into captain beefheart, at least a little, and some of those other bands, i have heard of, but not really listened to, but that will give me a good list to go on, thanks!
best of luck with everything!

All becomes clear! lol

I had an inkling that you were either SCA or one of Miss B's friends. If you want some samples of music catch up with me sometime. I have a rather extensive collection (over 10k tracks on my iPod), and get an average of 3-4 cd's a week. Most of my stuff is progressive rock, neo-progressive rock, space prog, prog metal, RiO (Rock in Opposition - Zappa, Beefheart etc), post rock, ambient, electronica, experimetal, and I also have a lot of blues, jazz, world, and mor "mainstream" acts as well.

I've actually been into photography longer than I have been in the SCA... over 25 years. I did a lot of pro work in the 80s and early 90s, and have just really got back into it in the last 2 or so years with a DSLR rig.
